School Policy 2019-2020

 

Enrolment

All Distillery students complete an online registration form and are assigned a private instructor who best fits the musical needs of the student.

 

Payment

Payment for music lessons must be paid in advance by the last lesson of each month for the next months’ lessons. There are three ways to pay for lessons:

 

  1. Interac Email Money Transfer for the full term (3% discount)

  2. VISA or MasterCard (via PayPal) for the full term

  3. VISA or MasterCard monthly pre-authorized payment plan (via PayPal)

 

There are three billing periods:

 

  1. September-December (12 lessons)

  2. January-March (12 lessons)

  3. April-June (12 lessons)

 

 

*Summer lessons are also possible subject to instructor availability

 

Scheduling of Lessons

 All lessons begin at the pre-arranged time as scheduled through the lesson schedule page located on the Distillery Music School website (distillerymusicschool.com).

 

Make-Up Lessons

Students may make up any missed lessons on an alternate day and time.

Make-up lessons are given at the teacher’s convenience.

If a student misses the scheduled make-up lesson, then the lesson is forfeited.

Make-up lessons are limited to two in any given term and cannot be carried over into the next term.

There are no refunds for missed lessons.

 

Music Books

Your teacher will recommend music books for purchase throughout the year. Books may be purchased by the parent, teacher or adult student and can

 

Recitals

The Distillery Music School holds a yearly recital in June in an attractive local venue. We encourage all students (young and old!) to participate in these casual, relaxed and fun musical evenings. Each participant receives an engraved medal. Family and friends are invited to stay for a fun reception after the music time.
